Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised In a Military Home and lived all over the world but
Pittsburgh Pa is where I call home.
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve
faced in life?
Military Transition doesn’t happen overnight. The situational change is easy. You change jobs. You change where you live. You change industries, but Transition is all mental. You have to transition the way you think about yourself and others in the change. You have to transition your skills and adopt new ones that are of value in the change. You have to transition your
vocabulary to better communicate with new teammates in the change. Additionally there isn’t just one correct way to transition. It varies greatly depending on the needs and desires of each individual. It is part of what makes it so difficult.
Travel the world and learn other cultures, the world is a “BIG” place…
Your Personal Why?
My Why: I love to serve. There is no more gratifying feeling than to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
Ecosystem?
My Why directly adds to the VH ecosystem because I genuinely want to help my fellow veterans navigate the transition process by finding their individual path through it? I want them to EXCELL!
you?
My top 5 strengths are: Enthusiasm, Duty, Restorative, Community, and Service. The futuristic, ideation and Duty in me are always at work envisioning a better future for humanity on this planet and others. My Enthusiasm and relator strengths drive me to seek out what makes every person I meet unique and treat them the way they want to be treated.
I was a Navy Corpsman with 1st Marine Division and Bethesda Naval Hospital, and I’m a Vice President of a Telecommunication company. I retired after 16 years of service.
Favorite VH Value, and why?
“One of the most important things in life is to have a attitude for gratitude, to much that is given, much is required !“
As the Vice President of Business Operations it is my responsibility to take care of a team that takes care of so many others. It is an absolute privilege to be on this team and work with these great Americans.:
