Programs
Veteran Hub (VH) offers these free programs to prepare Veterans, Active Duty Personnel and Reservists for a seamless transition out of military or into a new career.
Workforce Development
Through our Career Development Initiatives, we aim to foster prosperity for veterans returning back to their communities; as well as the businesses that employ them. In practice, Workforce Development means offering our veterans training, development opportunities, and continuing education programs to maximize their job success and career pathway. We encourage the companies, the employers, our Partners that enact workforce development programs to view veterans as assets, not just a headcount to perform a specific task, purpose or meet a certain quota. Offering a variety of training opportunities widens the scope of the veteran’s contribution to their organization.
Our Workforce Development programs help keep veterans prepared for the future; as well as be equipped to handle further technological changes or skill demands. It also expands the value that they provide to the employer’s organization, encouraging multifaceted roles that are less likely to phase out with new technology.
CAREER RESOURCE CENTER
Veterans Hub currently has Career Resource Centers located at our Houston, Texas and Jackson, Alabama locations. Our CRC’s are opened to all veterans searching for employment. When visiting one of our CRC’s veterans can meet one on one with counselors, attend different seminars and workshops, use our Computer Labs, create resumes and participate in networking events. We always have knowledgeable staff available to assist our veterans.
EMPLOYMENT RETENTION SERVICES
The members on our team can speak from our own personal experience; being that we utilized the Veterans Administration Home Loan Program to purchase our first home. The VA Home Loan program has been opening the door to homeownership for eligible service members and surviving military spouses since 1944, which was part of the original Servicemen’s Readjustment Act, better known as the GI Bill of Rights.
